I have been working in the field of youth mental health since 2007. I specialize in working with caregivers and youth ages 10+ who have adequate verbal skills to benefit from talk-based therapy. I have many years of experience working with individuals with emotional challenges like depression, anxiety, and difficult life adjustments, as well as helping individuals with personal improvement.
As a licensed mental health counselor, I provide psychotherapy and assessment of mental disorders. My educational background includes a Masters in Mental Health Counseling, Masters in Educational Psychology, and a Doctorate in School Psychology. Since 2007 I have worked in various school settings, private group practice, and at several community mental health centers in NH.
My approach is authentic and collaborative with clients and their caregivers. It blends cognitive and behavioral theory, and it is affirming of neurodiversity and gender identification. My focus with clients is on challenges that they have identified as areas they would like to change, and I offer a balance of challenge and support when working with clients. I also work with parents who find themselves struggling on how they can be more effective in reaching their goals as parents. If you are interested in getting help, I encourage you to reach out for a consultation.
Outside of this practice, I am employed by the Oyster River Cooperative School District. For ethical reasons, at this time I am unable to work with caregivers or individuals who are current students within the Oyster River School District.
